October 2019 Newsletter View in browser
Dear {personalized.fname_sname},

We are keeping ourselves braced against the chill of October by immersing ourselves in some of the most profound areas of Vedic culture this month; with fascinating topics such as Vedic cosmology (Secrets of the Vedic Universe), unlocking the sacred Gayatri Mantra, and the creme de la creme of Vedic scripture in Overview of the Srimad Bhagavatam. Get the opportunity to connect with Guru for the most important relationship in spiritual life, that of Guru & Disciple in the ISKCON Disciples Course. Speaking of connections, allow your mind to be pacified in the transcendental vibes of kirtan with the legendary kirtaneer Sri Prahlada in The Yoga of Kirtan. We have also introduced Sweet Cheese - a weekly Facebook show that includes interviews, wisdom, latest news and much more! Last but not least, get the body and mind aligned in our on-going Holistic Yoga Asana classes, which are now in the Seminar Room at the Temple every Monday (it has never been more convenient to align yourself spiritually all under one roof!).

We look forward to seeing you soon!

Best wishes,
London College of Vedic Studies

Bhaktin Gayathri
"The scriptures describe the Bhagavata Purana as brilliant as the sun and promises to provide the light of knowledge in the age of Kali to those who are lost due to the dense darkness of ignorance. (SB 1.3.43)
The Srimad Bhagavatam Overview course aims to provide a glimpse into this ancient scripture allowing us to truly understand its importance at present day. I'm thankful to the London College of Vedic Studies for bringing this course and pray this encourages me personally to delve into the depths of this sacred literature and appreciate the efforts of our Founder Acarya, Srila Prabhupada."

- Bhaktin Gayathri (Overview of Srimad Bhagavatam)
Vamsivata dasa
“Teaching the Nectar of Instruction module of our Bhakti Sastri course (for the first time!!!) was a really wonderful experience for me. Because I had to give insight into Srila Prabhupada’s words and be able to represent Prabhupada and our parampara properly, I studied Nectar of Instruction like anything. I listened to seminars by very learned devotees and pondered upon the best way to teach and help assimilate and appreciate the points being brought up. I definitely feel very enriched after having done this service. And I am eager to try and serve in this capacity once more, in the future."

- Vamsivata dasa (Bhakti Sastri)
